Creative Challenge:
Design a permanent in-line merchandising program to sell rotary tools and accessories in an 8 foot Lowes rack section. Provide strong branding elements, display actual tools for consumer interaction, educate consumers on features and benefits of each tool, and place tool accessories at easy reach making them easy to identify and select.

Execution:
Header graphic at the top of an 8 foot section provides strong brand impressions at eye level. Seven custom designed tool “cradles” hold different rotary tool models. Front of cradle places tool conveniently for consumer interaction with a retractor system to ensure product security. A graphic panel on the cradle communicates features and benefits of each model. “Waterfall” racks mount to peg board and provide outstanding merchandising for 72 rotary tool accessories. Pack- out and retail- roll out was managed by Process Program™.

Results:
Custom program is extremely consumer and retailer friendly. Rotary tool consumers find everything they need in this 8 foot section: a top rotary tool brand, information on the features and benefits of tools and accessories, the ability to touch and feel product, and a consistently organized format to make buying decisions easy. This level of shelf and category management allows consumers to have an enjoyable shopping experience. Program has produced a dramatic sales lift and led to Process Displays being recognized as Robert Bosch Tool Supplier of the Year.
